what are good exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff? (Answers: 3) (Comments: 1)
trying to stengthen my rotator cuffs so i dont injure them again. I cannot go to a physical therapist so please dont tell me that!
What are some good exercises to do to strengthen all four components of the rotator cuff? I had an injury and it is healed, but i need to strengthen them so i can continue with my training for hockey. I am an experienced weight lifter, but i never really focused on my rotator cuffs, any advice would be appreciated!
Please do not tell me to go to a doc or get physical therapy, i do not have insurance that covers such things!

I play a sport that involves a lot of overhand activity. My rotator cuff has become pretty sore. Its not horrible pain but its not normal. If i continue to use it what is the worse that could happen? Could it eventually tear? I play in college and i dont really have time to rest it.

How can I tell if my rotator cuff is ready for high intensity sport? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 0)
Just over two years ago I endured a rotator cuff injury. Specifically, I suffered a small tear in my right shoulder tendon.
Currently, I have been lifting weights, doing pushups, but I don't push myself 100% in fear of reinjuring my shoulder.
I want to start taking boxing lessons again, but fear I will reinjure my shoulder.(boxing is how I got injured originally)
Looking for advice on how to know if it will reinjure or not.
Thanks

Can a torn rotator cuff heal without surgery? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 0)
My doctor said I might not need surgery for my torn rotator cuff. Is he nuts or in cahoots with the insurance company? I thought this always needed surgery.

The rotator cuff muscles are the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor and subscapularis.
It should be four arteries that supply them but I can't find them on google.
Thanks for all the help.

How will rotator cuff surgery effect my desire to box? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 0)
It looks like I've got a work related rotator cuff tear -- I'm still waiting to find out if surgery is in my future. I'm in my mid 20's and in my teens I used to box. What can I expect after a rotator cuff surgery? Is it likely that I can become good as new and not worry too much as long as I keep proper form, etc?
