Where can I find a doctor that will prescribe pills like candy near Saint Louis, MO?
I'm a 26 year old male with degenerative disk disease. I Have 2 severely degenerated disks that are bulging and pinching a nerve. The medical details are: L4/L5 degenerated causing nerve impingement, as well as spinal stenosis. Basically, I'm in constant pain, have a 2 year old daughter to lift in/out of the car seat and play with her, and every bend, lift, twist and turn hurts my back. Most doctors don't like to give many pain killers to people under 30. My current pain management doctor does give me a minimal amount that barely controls the pain. And he won't increase the dosage when I have flare ups. I hear all the time in the news about how doctors prescribe pain killers like candy, so I would like to know where/what doctor in the St. Louis, Mo area will give me whatever I ask for. I'm not a junkie or something, I'm just a young, single dad with a bad back and not enough medication. I just want to find a doctor that's the kind that will be flexible with treatment options and allow me to increase dosage on an as-needed basis. So I'm asking where to find a "pill candy" doctor so that I can find the right amount it takes to manage my pain on a daily basis.

why do some people prefer piston ran AR-15s?
I know they're more reliable but why not just get an AK, or something more affordable? Also is it harder to find parts for the piston ran ars? Do they loose accuracy since they function a little bit differently? which do you prefer piston or direct impingement?

Can Disc slip can be cured...?
For the past 2 months i am having pain at my lower back....and recently the pain became severe and consulted a doctor and he has given some tablets and gel cream which has reduced my pain but optional he asked me to go for a MRI Scan. I have undergone MRI scan and after seeing that doctor told that i have slip disc...that to it was minimal(starting stage)..
report says : " disc -Osteophyte complex at L4-5 and L5-S1 causing thecal sac impingement and relative neuroforaminal compromise on left side"
what does this exactly mean and can it be cured....can i get back to play my fav game cricket :)...

No drive. No ambition. No motivation what do I do? ?
I'm a single mom. Started a college program in January and am failing this semester. Work part time for my mom. Had a car accident last june which left me with 2 herniated discs causing impingement in lain everyday and on gabapentin for the neuro diffiulties I have faced with the injury.
I was driven and hard working and am an excellent mother with out a lot of help.
I have been experiencing episodes of depression. No drive, ambition or motivation. I feel stuck and in a position of not moving forward or backward. At a complete stand still.
I am sad and feel badly for myself which I have never felt before.
I'm still hurt with what my ex has done to me and would not put myself into any type of other relationship for the last 16 months. I recently started sleeping with a guy in my building who is younger than me. It was all fun and games but now we hang out everyday and that is another issue that is confussing me as he has another relationship he is trying to mend knowing him and I won't go anywhere and not necessarily wanting it to go anywhere I still find myself hanging out with him and confussed all together about my feelings.
I am assuming the meds I am taking is causing me to feel the way I do. I have contacted my dr who will not be in until Tuesday. I'm lost, misguided and struggling on a daily basis. I haven't been sleeping well or eating right and that is so out of character. I feel as though I'm excusing these feelings with my injury and medication when I should be addressing them head on. Please any help or advice would be much appreciated.

What is a Patellar alta...?
Just got an MRI back on my knee from a jiujitsu injury. Someone please help with what this report means
1. Patellar Alta. Tendinosis of patellar tendon with partial thickness linear tear of deep surface adjacent to patellar attachment.
2. Edema of superolateral infrapatellar fat consistent with anterolateral patellofemoral impingement.
3. Mild prepatellar edema and bursitis extending over the surface of lateral retinacalum likely due to recent injury. No evidence for retinacular tear is demonstrated.
4. Trace joint effusion.
From what I gather it's a strain? Can someon please give me the entire explanation in laymans terms?
