Any ideas as to why the first three fingers of each hand keep going numb?
Six months ago I was arrested for a broken tail light on my way home from church and handcuffed behind my back. Although I had never been handcuffed before, the cuffs seemed way too tight. However, the officer would not loosen them. When it was time to get up off the ground the officer jerked me by my right arm causing rotator cuff damage and a torn biceps tendon on that arm. Now, six months later, I'm starting to experience a painful "crik" in my neck when I turn it too quickly and also numbness in the first three fingers of each hand when I keep my arms in the same position for a while - like when I'm pushing my granddaughter's stroller. I'm wondering, because the handcuffs were pushing on the outsides of my wrists while the numbness seems to be on the inside of my wrists / hands / arms. Any ideas as to what can be causing the first three fingers of each hand to keep going numb? This is happening many times a day now. I've seen several doctors but they all seem to be blowing me off.
The numbness is there whether my arms / wrists are flexed or straight, resting on a surface or in mid-air. I had a nerve conduction study done and it came back clean. I tell the doctors I was handcuffed so that they can figure out the physiology of the damage and the symptoms, but I have not told them anything else. The first doctor didn't want to hear what happened, so I have not told any of them any details, except that I was handcuffed. I was given a ticket for "resisting arrest", although I did absolutely everything they told me to do. I was so scared, my chest actually started hurting, I thought I was having a heart attack. I did not say anything until he got me down on the ground. At that point my older brother, who was with me, started yelling for help, and then I started yelling for help. We were both given tickets for "disturbing the peace." Neither one of us said anything to the police the whole time this was going on unless they asked us a question, then we answered calmly.

What's the recovery time for removing Inflammatory tissue in a shoulder?
My shoulder has been pretty bad cause of a work related injury. A recent MRI showed no Rotator Cuff damage but I do have a lot of Inflammatory tissue in the joint that medication and Physical therapy has fail to help. The doc. told me they could go in clear it out but won't give me much information. You see, he works at the clinic owned my the job that injuried me. So, if they do this surgery how long will my recovery be?
I have a lot of pops and cracks in my shoulder joint. It's been going on for around a year. I did Physical Therapy both at the clinic and at home for about 3 months. It included band/resistance exercises. And I don't know about "Bone spurs". Like I said, I wish the clinic's doc would tell me more.

Swimmers out there...?
Do you have shoulder problems?
I am now on my third year of serious rotator cuff damage and it is driving me nuts. As in... picking up a pencil to write can hurt.
It seems like most girls my age, 16, here where I live end up out of the pool due to a shoulder problem.
Thank you for all your help! I have been through physical therapy for about a year and am in the process of "avoiding surgery". sooo... we'll see how this goes.

Rotator cuff damage? and what should i do?
I hurt my rotator cuff in my shoulder doing pushups about 2 weeks ago, and it has gradually gotten worse. It clicks and pops, and each time it has does it is really painful. Sometimes it feels like it pops in and out of place. But now it is just a constant pain in my shoulder along with the clicking and popping. It hurts to sleep on that side and I can't move it above my head or in certain places or it kills me. I have tried icing it and taking ibuprofen but it doesn't seem to work or get better. I don't know what to do and the pain has gotten really bad.
