If you have a tear in rotator cuff muscle ..how do you rehab that ?
Im not sure if it is bruised or torn...cant afford MRI but I would think if I torn it there would be no way to use my arm at all without big pain ... am I wrong?
could a steroid help heal this muscle or is that not what a steroid does?
hot and Cold packs?
Any suggestion is welcome.

severe shoulder pain?
i have severe pain in my shoulder. it's getting so if i walk the friction is enough to make it spasm. it's not frozen, i can move it but the joint pops up and down. i've tried doing little exercises to build up the rotator cuff muscles, i've tried more general shoulder exercises, the more i move it the worse it is. especially if i lift above my head, and not immediate pain but like it builds up and eventually is so bad i have to stay in bed and it makes me sick. the doctors that have examined me have only looked at me, and done xrays, no MRI scan. i have had it for a year, i've had injections. put cold on it, rested it, moved it. if anything it's more severe. i am seeing a physio soon, but i dont know if i should be resting it or moving it. when moving it makes it so bad. what should i do??

Bench press and rotator cuff problems?
Off and on, I've been working for the past three years. One month on four months off. Not really a routine but had little free time and lazy. I started working out hard three months ago. I added bench press to my routine. Flat incline and decline. I would take the bar all the way down to my chest. I thought that was the best form and most productive. However, as I used heavier weight I felt a bad strain in my should/ chest area. At first I thought it was a good pain and meant the muscle was getting bigger. But i think i was actually hurting my rotator cuff. I have made a lot of gains and want to keep going. I would stop for a month and feel better but when i get back on the bench it would hurt again. Is there anyway to avoid rotator cuff pain? I don't want to tear it completely and be out for months. Is a little pain normal? If i strengthen my rotator cuff muscles will this solve my bench problem?

Anatomy Help- Joints?
Any help is greatly appreciated. My book just doesn't cover these questions, unfortunately.
Match the word with the description:
a) Elbow b) Hip c) Knee d) Shoulder
1) rotator cuff muscles are important in stabilizing this joint; capsule reinforced only anteriorly by ligamentsl articular surfaces shallow
2) three joints in one; capsule incomplete anteriorly; has menisci and intracapsular cruciate ligaments.
3) capsule is loose; reinforced by medial and lateral collateral ligamentsl articular surfaces most important in ensuring join stability.... (knee?)
4) Articular surfaces deep and securel capsule heavily reinforced by ligaments and muscle tendons; intracapsular ligamentum teres. Extremely stable joint.
Thanks again everyone.
