Sunday morning I woke up with pain in my shoulder when I moved, such as dong my hair or grabbing for a glass. I do sleep with my hand above my head and my head on my bicep. It is very uncortable when I try to raise it in a horizonal position, but after I get the arm up, it is fine. Sitting, sleeping (unless I put alot of pressure on the arm) and normal activity is fine unless I raise my arm up far. After I move the muscle and I do have pain, the muscle sort of burns a little. So my question is..... did I stain or tear my rotator cuff?

So my shoulder has been cracking for about 1 week. But ever since monday it has turned painful and today I started feeling it lock up. So I went to the clinic and the doctor was really weired she said that I tore a muscle or tenon but then on the paper that she write referring me to physio she wrote rotator cuff strain. Now my dad had rotator cuff strain and he had to get surgery for it. But she just brushed it off like it was nothing and all I had to do was go to physio to strength my rotator cuff. I have anappointmentt with my family doctor next saturday but for the time being what should do? Was the doctor right? What did you do? How does this happen? The really weired thing about this is that I never hurt my shoulder I think it may be from my backpack because it tends to be extremely heavy what do you think?

Tramadol side effects? (Answers: 1) (Comments: 0)
I was prescribed Tramadol on Monday for a rotator cuff strain. The medication isn't helping with the pain very much and I'm itchy all over. I've been scratching all day. Is this a normal side effect of Tramadol? If I call the doctor, do you think he will switch me to something else to avoid the itching? I've taken other types of pain meds before and have never been so itchy.
