I'm having shoulder surgery within the next few weeks, and I am really nervous about how difficult everything is going to be after the surgery is done. Does anyone have any tips about ways to make my life a little easier after surgery? Right now, I'm looking around and realizing how much I NEED both hands/arms for, and getting a bit depressed over the idea of someone having to button my pants and cut my food for me for the next eight weeks.

Thats it, im getting surgery on thursday and want to know how long untill I cant start to go to the gym so that this shit wont happen again and since this year I was supposed to start and I dislocated my shoulder again it postponed that untill later. Kay so its not much that needs to be repaired just want to know. Im 16, 6 feet 1. on the skinny side

I dislocated my shoulder in the beginning of March. Got a second opinion 3 weeks ago and had surgery 2 weeks ago. My pain level is at a 10 if I do not keep up with the pain meds. I even have to take them earlier than the prescribed 4-6 hours. I am off work and need help. Any advice would be very much appreciated. I have 4 incisions to repair Bankart lesion.

Broken shoulder didn't mend. The ball of the humerus for the shoulder is disinegrating and Dr. said that this particular surgery is a 50/50 type, meaning that range of motion may not improve with surgery. Can't understand why the humerus will be floating in my arm without surgery. Is it harmful? Any help out there?
