?Bicep muscle and shoulder tendon tears, how to recover? Occured May 1, 2006 Looking for treatments.?
Live Boston, MA and Los Angeles, CA. Had MRI of my shoulder. Problem - tore two right shoulder tendon and biceps muscle in right arm at the same time. Now functional, do have of and on pain in each area. Looking for the fastest ways to recover. Happened while lifting something extremely heavy, When lifting my right elbow was bent at an almost ninety (90) degree angle and hand was at upper stomach, result was immediate pain related loss of motion. Was told that if pain became intense or unbearable to come back and see the orthopedic doctor and also I could exercise without a plan due to low pain. (1.) Can these types of tears be helped with surgery? (2.) Does the tear repair itself over time on its own? (3.) Are there supplements e.g., creatine that might be or exercise that may be helpful? (4.) What courses of action besides might be helpful in repairing these tendons ? (6.) Can surgery help mend tears? ( 7.) Is it normal for pain from these injuries to disappear over time? Thanks!

tear in shoulder tendon (ligament)?
I am wondering if anyone knows about surgery for a full thickness tear in a shoulder tendon. Does it take long to recover? Do i really need surgery? Can i fix it without surgery? How long does it take to heal with or without surgery. Thank you I had an ultrasound that reported a full thickness tear in the suraspinatus tendon. I think it is still attached though but not sure. They said the contors in shoulder show signs of chande too.

Workman's comp run around?
I have had tendonits for about 3 years now. I have been getting shots of cortisone in the elbow every 3 months for 3 years. The doctors refuse to give my anymore because it starting to disingrate the joint, they want to do surgeury. so i filed workman comp, because the doctor has been saying its work related all along, because i didnt want to have the surgury under my insuance. workmans comp refused it because there is a 2 year limit on which you can file a claim. i find this hard to believe because its an ongoing thing and have been paying for it on my own for the last three years. i had the surgury date scheduled and everything, and now all have is constant pain, i cant sleep, change sheets, sweep, do dishes anything i would normally do. now i have tendonitis in my shoulder, for about 9 months now, they wont cover that either because the shoulder tendon is strong enough to handle my job. they gave me a 2 weeks to appeal in writting, everyone told me not to and get an attorney. i really want to just have the surgury because the pain is unreal i cannot live like this.

Shoulder Tendon Calcification?
I have just found out through x-ray and ultrasound that I have a large calcification on a tendon in my shoulder. It is quite painful at times and restricts movement. I understand why it is there but I would like to know if anyone has heard of the treatment for this?

What do I do to heal my shoulder?? Its been at me for months!?
While in my first sessions at the gym about 3 months ago I think I strained my shoulder tendons. While using a machine for my chest, on the 'push' forward my right shoulder clicked/popped (not out) from using too much weight I guess, and it hasn't been right since. If i drive for too long it hurts or sometimes when I take off my t-shirt it re-pops (again, not out).... Can someone tell me what I did and how I can fix it...i thought swimming would help?? any ideas? Thanks

Shoulder problems. Should I see a doctor?
About a week ago, I was playing football with some guy friends. A guy that is much bigger than I am, like 6 foot 6 landed on me a couple times. Usually I'm used to being tackled because I play rugby and it wasn't at all different in this situation. The next morning, I saw that my shoulder was weird. It's fine when my arms are at my side but when they're by my side and I pull down my left arm, my shoulder blade sticks out and there's sort of a gap between my top of my arm and shoulder. One of my friends says it could be a loose shoulder tendon. It doesn't hurt or anything, it just feels weird, kind of like its going to pop if I don't stop pulling and it doesn't feel very stable. I was wondering what the problem is and if I should see a doctor or not. Also, I have a rugby game wednesday. I'm wondering if I should play. Thanks! :) There is some pain that has developed over time though. It's not in the gap area, more in the collarbone and that muscle area. Not too much pain, mostly sore. I don't know if that has anything to do with it though

Healing from torn shoulder tendon and bursitis
My dad has torn a tendon in his shoulder, has bursitis and tendonitis. Apparently, the tendon and bursar are infected. What will the treatment be for this? How do they get a torn tendon to heal?
