Has anybody had a strained rotator cuff???
So basically, I play volleyball and I hurt my shoulder going up for a hit around may. I went to see a doctor, and he categorized it as a strained rotator cuff. So I had to miss two weeks, but I didn't obey him and played through the season. Eventually, the school season ended and my shoulder was still in pain but I continued doing the therapy excersices he gave me, and after about a month break, I rejoined my club team, and have been practicing for 3 weeks and after the rehab and the rest, my arm felt great and was stronger than ever, but last week after practice I started feeling some soreness in the same area as before. Now, I am not too concerned because the pain is very slight and nowhere close to the level that I played on in may and june, but I am beginning to worry that this could come back, and am thinking of seeing the doctor again. Any suggestions??

I currently have a strained Rotator cuff, I belong to a gym where I normally did light cardio and moderate?
to heavy weight lifting. I am currently doing doctor recommended stretches to help heal the strain. My question is what kind of workouts can I do at the gym while i'm going thru this? It is more of a mild strain than anything as it only bothers me when I wake up from sleeping and whenevr I lift my arm over my head. Is it okay to still lift weights? By the way, the pain is in my right shoulder and I am right handed if that makes any difference.

Shoulder Pain?
I have had this happen before to my right shoulder, but everytime I move my right arm a certain way or to a certain level or put a certain about of weight on it i get a sharp pain, not in my whole entire shoulder area, but basicly just in the front. I wonder if it is a torn or strained rotator cuff or something similar to that, Ideas? and if so solutions. I already have ice on it and not moving it much. Thanks!

How can I help a strained rotator cuff to heal?
I am currently in rehearsals for a show at an amusement park and I think I've strained both of my rotator cuffs. We had two 8-hour dance rehearsals on Saturday and Sunday, and there are a bunch of overhead motions in the choreography. Fortunately we have vocal rehearsal for the next few days so I can rest and take it easy. I have had pain in both sides (deltoids and triceps especially) since Saturday evening. I have tried ibuprofen and naproxen sodium for pain but neither seem to help much. I still have full range of motion in both shoulders (lifting arms above head or straight out to the sides) and I have been able to sleep normally at night, so I don't think either one is torn. Unfortunately my insurance with my parents ended last month and I have only very basic medical coverage and I can't afford to see a doctor at the moment. Any suggestions?

strained rotator cuff?
i used to play baseball a couple years back and then i stopped. when i wanted to pick the sport back up i tried throwin the baseball and my shoulder hurt. i went to a physical therapist and she said i had a strained rotator cuff, the superspanatus muscle, i been goin for a month and some days when i throw the ball it feel fine but other days when i throw im in excruciating pain. Any suggestions or excercises i could do on my own?
