Is my rotator cuff torn or whats the deal here?
Ok well last summer playing football I tackled a guy using my right shoulder and I had a sudden jolt to my shoulder. I played through the entire season despite the fact that it hurt anytime I did anything and come the end of the season I just couldnt take it anymore and went to the doctor. The doctor just took X-Rays and sent me to physical thearapy saying it should soon heal. Well its been about 6 months and its still irrating me badly. Its weird though... Like I can still shoot a basketball fine but it really hurts when... -I lean up against a wall -Throw any sort of ball overhead -Try and block a shot or go up for a rebound in basketball -Even sometimes putting on a shirt Anytime i shrug or rotate my shoulder you can hear/i feel this popping, grinding noise and its pretty uncomfortable. I went to the doctor yesterday and he thinks its a possible torn rotator cuff tear. So their setting me up with an MRI tomorrow. What do you think the deal is. Please help. many points to the best and maybe even the first answer. Thanks so much. Your help is greatly appreciated. :) oh and im 16 years old by the way..if that makes a difference?

sharp back pain on lower left side accompanied by numbness in my left leg. Any ideas what this could be?
I am a 25 year old female. I was in a car accident five years ago which left me with a swollen collar bone, arthritis, tendinitis and a partially torn rotator cuff all on my right side. When I was 12 I found out I had a mild case of scoliosis which was never addressed. The pain I had then is similar to my low back pain now. The past few weeks the lower left side of my back has been hurting (worse when sitting for long periods). It's a sharp pain accompanied by numbness which seems to be traveling from the outer side of my left hip down towards my knee. I was put on norco 10/325 but barely feel relief anymore. The numbness comes and goes and I only feel relief when laying on one of my sides. Is my low back pain related to the accident, the scoliosis, or neither?

Workman's compensation in Michigan?
My husband has been having shoulder pain. Initially a doctor said it was probably arthritis. However, the pain continued and he went and had an MRI. The MRI revealed a torn rotator cuff with one of the tendons separating from his shoulder (ouch). The doctor suggested surgery within 6 months. He had not talked to his company about workman's compensation at this point, as he thought it was arthritis. The next day he was terminated from his job. He still needs to have the surgery, especially if he wants to get another job, however, he cannot collect unemployment during the time he would have surgery and would be recovering from surgery. We cannot financially go without income for 3 months (surgery and recovery time). Can he get workman's compensation without having a job? What other options are there?

Question about injury in a fight. Answer ASAP please?
I got in a fight yesterday and the girl suffered a couple injuries. I was just curious to what caused them. She has a torn rotator cuff and whiplash. If anyone could tell me how you would receive these injuries, that would be great. Again, im just curious. and can you please not be rude. i thought this is what this website is for. i ask questions, and get answers in return. i dont want to hear your rude opinions. if anyone has any info about rotator cuff injuries, i would like to know. i can find anything helpful online.

I dislocated my shoulder and apparently tore my rotator cuff, but I'm using it pretty freely?
A few days ago I was climbing around on a hill and I held onto a ledge, jumped out onto a rock and it was slippery so I fell down to the ground, but first my weight was distributed largely to my left shoulder, dislocating it. I went to my brother and his wife, both doctors. I was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder. The day after the accident my shoulder hurt pretty bad, then the next day it felt a lot better, now I think it's feeling a tad worse. I've been using the arm quite a bit. Is that bad? No heavy lifting or anything... but it's not like I've been treating it like it's about to fall off or anything. It hasn't been hurting me that bad.

has anyone had rotator cuff surgery and can you explain the procedure to me?
I have a torn rotator cuff right shoulder.had cortisone shots and naproxen 500 which seemed to help the pain.I'm thinking of having surgery to repair it and would like to know how the procedure works and estimated recovery time.the original tear was 9mm but that was a year ago and I'm sure I've torn it worse since then as the pain is unbearable now.thanks.
