I dislocated my shoulder and apparently tore my rotator cuff, but I'm using it pretty freely?
A few days ago I was climbing around on a hill and I held onto a ledge, jumped out onto a rock and it was slippery so I fell down to the ground, but first my weight was distributed largely to my left shoulder, dislocating it. I went to my brother and his wife, both doctors. I was diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder. The day after the accident my shoulder hurt pretty bad, then the next day it felt a lot better, now I think it's feeling a tad worse. I've been using the arm quite a bit. Is that bad? No heavy lifting or anything... but it's not like I've been treating it like it's about to fall off or anything. It hasn't been hurting me that bad.

WWE: Evan Bourne end CM Punk's career?
Evan Bourne & CM Punk. They met in a match in 2004, Punk won, next they have faced off about 3 times with Punk winning each one and even kayfabe{storyline} putting Evan Bourne out of action for 4 months with a torn rotator cuff, there's an article on WWE.com about Evan Bourne talking about exacting revenge on Punk and I think it would be a great storyline for him to put CM Punk out of action. has anyone had rotator cuff surgery and can you explain the procedure to me?
I have a torn rotator cuff right shoulder.had cortisone shots and naproxen 500 which seemed to help the pain.I'm thinking of having surgery to repair it and would like to know how the procedure works and estimated recovery time.the original tear was 9mm but that was a year ago and I'm sure I've torn it worse since then as the pain is unbearable now.thanks.

can I make a torn rotator cuff worse by ignoring it?
My family doctor told me a year ago that I have a torn rotator cuff. Since I've had 3 surgeries in the last 2 years, I thought I'd be brave and tough it out, at least until I was emotionally ready for another procedure. Now my symptoms are getting worse and more frequent: hurts to put a shirt on and off, for instance, and it is hard to get comfortable to sleep. (fyi my other surgeries were internal organs, not orthopedic issues) Have I aggravated the condition by being stubborn and ignoring it?

so i need some information on this shoulder injury i have?
Ok so ive had shoulder pain for about 5 months now. its hard to pinpoint the exact pain, but it hurts when i rotate my arm in a circle(like a swim stroke) i am a tennis player which i think might have something to do with it. but it didn't start hurting until my pole vault season started. i lift weights, and do a TON of upper body exercises(pushups, pullups, weights ect..) and pole vault is very strenuous on your upper body. and for the past two months(summer) I have been swimming every day. it hurts when i lie on it at night as well. i know that tennis players, swimmers, and pole vaulters are known for torn rotator cuffs, but i wanted to get another opinion. I am seeing a orthopeadic doctor soon btw,

How do you deal with a cinchy horse?
I apologize in advance for how long this is going to be. However, I feel it's necessary for you to have ALL the info and background to weed out the ill-informed answers. So please, at least skim through most of this... I'm just looking for different ways you guys might correct a cinchy horse. Short background on my mare... Heavily abused by her first owner/"trainer" Then heavily spoiled by second owner. Now I have her and I've had to wade through all her weird ass quirks. I moved out of state for 6 months and had to leave her behind. When I got back she was not happy about the idea of going back to work. I just trail ride so no heavy training really, but I still work her pretty hard to keep her in shape... she's a REALL easy keeper... i.e: she gets fat pretty easily. When I got back the first weapon in her arsenal was acting like a bronc. We'd ride for about fifteen minutes, just long enough to get warmed up, and she would explode and throw these rodeo style bucks. Luckily she never threw me (only God knows how I stayed on) and after three or four stunts like this she gave up. Her second weapon, which she's still stuck on, is kicking out and trying to bite while I cinch the saddle. The saddle fits perfectly and I am honestly not strong enough to tighten a cinch too tight. I know my horse well and this is just her being a brat. Now, I really want to stress this next part, so please read carefully. She doesn't kick AT me, nor does she bite AT me. She kicks back, not in my direction. She lays her ears back and swings her head around but never bears teeth or opens her mouth. I'm not saying that one day she WON'T bite or kick me, all I'm saying is she's just showing off. She's all bark and no bite... excuse the pun. I honestly don't know how to go about correcting her. I do not, ever, smack her. As I said earlier, she was abused. She has some deep brooding somewhere deep in her brain and if she gets smacks she absolutely explodes. I've seen this happen once... the vet was trying to check her teeth to see if she needed floated, Roper was playing the whole "you can't touch my mouth" game with the vet, so the vet smacked her on the chest and Roper went primal on us. My boss got the brute of it and ended up with a torn rotator cuff. So, needless to say I don't smack her. Which her other issues she's thrown my way, I've always made the wrong decision hard and the right one easy. This has always worked wonders with this horse. She is smart and very emotional. Getting physical just does not work with this horse. So, as of now I've just kind of been ignoring the whole kicking and biting thing. When I'm cinching her, I'll tighten it a little and she'll kick out, I give her a sharp toned "no" and keep tightening it. I walk her around a little and then repeat. There is nothing wrong with my cinch or saddle. I'm serious, it's just my horse being a brat. So, how do YOU deal with a cinchy horse? Should I just keep ignoring her until she figures out her scare tactics don't work on me, or should I try something else? I do use cross ties. I'm not worried about her actually biting me. I just want her to quit trying and get over this little behavior. Thank you, nowhere near a fan of Parelli but I may try treats. Though I'm not big on the idea or giving her treats for behaving badly, I'll be sure to give her the treats BEFORE she tries anything stupid. Oh and no worries about the walls. They've been through hell and back and still standing strong. No kick can break hickory siding :P Barefoot, thank you for such a detailed answer, but I don't think you read the whole thing. Which I don't blame you, I'm a rambler. I've had this mare for almost four years now. It took quite some time but before I moved out of state she was the perfect horse. I had a trainer friend help me do a solid refresher on her and she was good to go. Perfect. That 6 month break is what brought back many of her old quirks. Though I agree that horses are honest, I do also believe that horses can truly be brats. I know this mare better than most people I know and she can truly be a brat. She is SMART. Her previous owners spoiled her to death and she thinks she knows how to get her way. But thank you again, sincerely. I<3mypalomino, don't you hate it when that happens? haa, my email is allielikewhoaxx@aim.com Thanks again everyone. I had the saddle checked by my vet who is also a fitter and dealer for County Saddles. She says it fits her perfect and the saddle itself is not the problem. Roper has been doing this stunt since May or so. When the vet was out for a check up on another horse I had her check Roper's back to see if anything was out of whack. She popped a few vertebra in her neck but other than that she was fine. It's definitely not a pain issue. I also asked my trainer friend who helped me refresh her. She told me to ignore it until she actually kicks or bites me. I believe it's just a scare tactic. Trainer said as long as it's just a show and she doesn't actually bite or kick me, to just ignore it.
